Taking the First Step

One month CHIP trial

Supervised Exercise Program

Taking the First Step

This starter program is designed for individuals who are ready to consider exercise as a way to reduce and manage their risk factors. The 1 month (12 session) commitment will ease you into the routine and give you a chance to see what exercise can do to manage your risk factors and improve your overall health.

We will begin to show you what it takes to participate in a balanced exercise program. Modifying lifestyle and behavior patterns normally takes three to four months of routine exercise participation. After 1 month at CHIP, you can decide if you would like to continue with us for 12-24 additional sessions in our regular CHIP 1 prevention and rehabilitation program.

This program includes:

Exercise Stress Test with Target Heart Rate

  • Blood tests (Lipid Profile)
  • 1.5 hour private training session with individual program prescription
  • 12 supervised exercise sessions 2-3 times per week taught by exercise physiologists specializing in cardiac rehabilitation
  • On going education
  • Follow- up with a CHIP physician

Long-term exercise plan upon completion

Opportunity to continue with CHIP 1 for a prorated fee.
